Most Common Questions about Herbal Tea

  • Loose leaf tea is very forgiving.
Step 1. Heat water until it’s just about to boil.
Step 2. Put 1 Tbsp (a large pinch) of herbs in a tea strainer, and place it in your mug.
Step 3. Pour the water over the herbs and wait 8 minutes. A longer steep will give a stronger, full-bodied tea (15 minutes or more.)
Step 4. Remove the strainer and enjoy.
(The steeped herbs can be re-steeped later the same day if stored in the fridge.)

  • Most tea brands outsource herbs from all over the world and pulverize the herbs into powder for teabags. Our herbs are kept whole, preserving the quality, potency, flavor, and soul of the herbs.

You’ll find Sacred Blossom Farm tea tastes fuller, feels more alive, and radiates the essence of the herbs as they were meant to be.

We grow or wild harvest almost all the herbs in our tea on our Wisconsin farm, which means they were freshly harvested this past summer.

  • Our tea isn’t certified organic, but there have been no chemicals used in over 25 years on our Wisconsin farm, where nearly all the herbs are grown. We use proactive measures to build soil and ecological health like long crop rotations, minimal tillage, cover cropping, interplanting, and rotational grazing. • All our teas are 100% herbs - no “natural flavors”, fillers, or sweeteners.

You can find the ingredients listed on each product page in the second photo, along with other useful information.

  • Our teas are fresh for three years from their packaging date. The “best by” date is stamped on each package. Nearly every tea you’ll buy from us was produced in the last growing season - you can only get fresher tea if you grow it yourself!

  • Herbal tea stays freshest when stored in an airtight container, away from sunlight, heat, and humidity.

    You can:

    • reseal it tightly in its original bag, or

    • transfer it to a glass jar with a lid

Store it in a cool, dry place like a pantry.

When stored properly, your tea will stay fresh for several years, though the flavor is always best when enjoyed within the first year.
